Our story started in 2017 with three friends from Ecuador that had a simple yet ambitious idea: create a brand that respects the environment and elevates the people behind each piece. Remu began as a travel hammock company, inspired by Ecuador’s Amazon Rainforest. Our early mission was to plant a tree for every hammock sold, but we soon realized we wanted to dig even deeper. Discovering the conditions under which our products were made led us to a turning point—one that changed our path and anchored us in Ecuador, committed to sustainable fashion and responsible craftsmanship.
